Welcome to Hathaway Quilters in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Hathaway Quilters is a community group for people who have a passion for patchwork and quilting. Established in 1993 we have been meeting in Stratford-upon-Avon for 30 years, and we are pleased to say some of the founder members still come and enjoy our meetings.

Work ranges from traditional piecing and lovely appliqué methods to colourful quilts with a modern and artistic twist. We also welcome others who have a passion for knitting or other sewing crafts.

If you are looking for a place to socialise and meet fellow quilters, we invite you to join us. We have a variety of quilting interests and believe there is something for everyone. We are not a judged or juried group and welcome ALL quilters – beginners and advanced.

Hathaway Quilters is funded by membership dues, proceeds from our bring-and-buy, and other quilt group activities undertaken by us.

Annual membership is due in April.

Membership for 2024 – 2025 is £40 per year (running from April to March).

Group benefits include:

  • Free lectures and inexpensive workshops by local and national instructors as well as members. (Click here to see our current programme)

  • Regular ‘show and tell’ by members

  • Participation in the making of charity quilts.

  • Regular newsletter.

  • Much more, including the opportunity to share time with like-minded people and enjoy new ideas and activities throughout the year.

We meet on the first and third Wednesday evening of the month, from 7.30 to 9.30pm in the ‘New Room’ at The Methodist Church Hall, opposite Holy Trinity in Stratford-upon-Avon (CV37 6BQ).

If you need any more information about Hathaway Quilters, or wish to join us, please email us at: hathawayquilters@gmail.com

If you want to ‘test the waters’ you are very welcome to come along to one of our meetings and see what we are all about, we kindly ask a fee of £5 (which will be deducted from the membership fee if you decide to join).

If you are interested in canvas work, knitting, crochet and sewing projects, Stratford Stitchers meet during the day and supports all sewing crafts. Information on this group can be found on the Stratford Stitchers tab.
